OCTOBER 2020 IN REVIEW

There were 10,563 sales recorded through the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board in October. This result was up by 25.1 percent compared to October 2019 marking the fourth month in a row where sales were up year-over-year.

The overall sales numbers for October were up, however, it's important to note that these numbers were driven by the detached market segment where competition between buyers remains strong. In contrast, the condo market has seen a slowdown in many GTA neighbourhoods resulting in softer sales numbers.

TRREB released its monthly key housing market stats for October 2020 and we saw a new record for the number of sales in the month of October.

10,563 sales were reported through TRREB's MLS System in October. Sales volume was up 25.1% versus October 2019.

There were 17,802 new listings in October. New listings were up 36.4% compared to October 2019.

The average selling price in October was $968,318, up 13.7% compared to October 2019.
